How to Evaluate the Energy Consumption of Electrical Hobs?Issuing time:2025-01-15 14:55Source:Pego Electronics IEC60350-2 is the standard that define methods for measuring the performance of electrical hobs for household use. The measurement includes dimensions and mass, cooking zones and cooking area. For testing the cooking zones and cooking area of the hob, standardized cookware is an important tool to assess the energy consumption and time for heating, ability to control the temperature of a load. 1. What is the standardized cookware? Standardized cookware has a cylindrical shape without handle protrusions. For different tests, the standardized cookwares should be filled with water or fresh sunflower oil.
1.1. Bottom and side wall The standardized cookware has a flatness of bottom plate, made of stainless steel AISI 430, and with base thickness 6mm±0.2mm. The side wall of the cookware is made of stainless steel AISI 304, and with wall thickness 1mm±0.05mm. The sidewall is fixed to the bottom plate with heat resistance glue. And the sidewall can be fixed additionally by three welding points to the bottom.
1.2. Lid Each cookware should configure with a lid to adapt to accommodate a temperature sensor in the center. The lid is made of aluminium with thickness 2mm±0.05mm, and φ16mm holes are evenly distribute on the lid circle. The temperature senor is positioned 15±1mm above the inner cookware bottom.
1.3. Dimension The dimensions of the standardized cookwares are specified in below table: 2. Why Pego? PEGO select the materials strictly according to standard requirements. And the sizes of the standardized cookwares can pass the measurement from ISO17025 accredited labs. Additionally, PEGO allows customers to purchase desired sizes separately. |
